- Birth is an experience of trusting the body’s natural process.
- Labor and birth is a sacred time for a woman, a transition from being an individual to becoming a mother.
- A woman must prepare herself physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually to trust the process of birth.
- Maintaining a peaceful and positive atmosphere around the laboring woman enhances the birth process.
- Adults are in a life changing shift from being individuals to being parents that is so much more than just the few hours in the labor and delivery room. They will be creating the space for a child’s individuality to blossom and for their own lives to expand.
- Support for parents is vital.
